We’re originally from Turkey, where food isn’t just nourishment—it’s a way of life. From long family breakfasts to tables filled with mezes, olives, and warm, crusty bread, we grew up in a culture where meals were slow, conversations were rich, and food was always meant to be shared.

That’s why, for us, it’s not just about eating—it’s about cherishing every step of the food experience. From preparation to storage, choosing the right products matters. We believe that how we store and serve our food should reflect the same care and love we put into making it.

Recently, we moved to Canada to start a new chapter—one filled with new experiences, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

Starting over in a new country hasn’t always been easy, but it has given us a fresh perspective on what truly matters: creating a meaningful life, building new connections, and staying true to our values.

Food remained our anchor throughout this transition—not just in what we cooked and ate, but also in how we approached sustainability, home living, and mindful consumption. This mindset inspired us to launch LittleMiddle Store and to offer products that help bring care, quality, and sustainability into everyday routines.

One of our most memorable nights was celebrating Yasemin’s last chemo session. We made a beautiful meze spread—grilled halloumi, homemade hummus, and a fresh salad.

Ece set the table with so much pride, arranging everything perfectly.

That night, as we raised our glasses to Yasemin’s health, we realized that life had changed—but in many ways, it had also become clearer.

For years, we were both caught up in corporate careers, fast-paced routines, and long hours. But deep down, we longed for a life with more creativity, freedom, and time for the things that truly matter.

So, we made a big decision.

We left behind the corporate world to start Little Middle Store—a small business rooted in sustainability, simplicity, and mindful living.

Now, instead of long meetings and tight deadlines, our days are filled with designing eco-friendly products, testing new ideas, and sharing tools that help others live a little more sustainably—one small choice at a time.

Yasemin’s Journey: Finding Purpose in Simplicity

A few years ago, life took an unexpected turn when Yasemin was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a challenging time—physically, emotionally, and mentally—but it also reshaped the way we view life and what truly matters.

Throughout her treatment, we found comfort in simple, everyday moments: preparing meals together, enjoying warm, nourishing food, and creating small rituals that brought us joy and a sense of normalcy.

That experience taught us the value of slowing down, making intentional choices, and surrounding ourselves with things that support both our well-being and the planet.

This shift in mindset was one of the biggest inspirations behind starting Little Middle Store—offering products that bring care, simplicity, and sustainability into everyday life.

Hey there! We’re Yasemin, Can (Jon), and Ece—a family behind Little Middle Store, built on a simple mission: offering thoughtfully chosen, eco-friendly, and practical products that make everyday living a little more sustainable.

At the start of Yasemin’s treatment, we made ourselves a promise: when it was all over, we would take a 4,000-kilometer motorcycle camping trip—just the two of us, out on the open road.

That goal became our motivation, giving us something positive to hold onto during the toughest moments.

And when Yasemin recovered, we kept our promise.

For weeks, we rode through mountains and forests, slept under the stars, and cooked simple meals over a campfire. It wasn’t about ticking off destinations—it was about proving to ourselves that life after illness could be full, vibrant, and deeply our own.

That journey—and everything it represented—shaped how we now approach daily life: with intention, gratitude, and a focus on simple, meaningful choices.

This mindset continues to inspire the products we choose and create at Little Middle Store—helping others find joy in everyday living.

Finding Color in Everyday Life

Life isn’t just one color—it’s made up of many shades, moments, and experiences.

Some days are bright and joyful, others are calm and quiet, and a few come with unexpected challenges. But we believe there’s beauty in every part of the journey—if we pause long enough to notice.
